NCAHCP APPRENTICE EDUCATION COURSE
Registration:  Please print the  Apprentice Registration Form and Apprentice Indemnity Form located at the top of the page.  Mail the two forms along with your payment to:

Dates:  
   February 3rd -
Human Auditory tract and simple hearing tests.  Science of sound and its measurements.

    February 4th  - Audiometric testing/Masking techniques.  Audiometer; Pure tone, bone, bracketing, plateau, and
                         tympanometry.

  February 24th-Speech Audiometry; SRT Practicum; Most Comfortable/Uncomfortable. Loudness; Word  
                                 Recognition and acoustic options; preview testing principles of post fitting and rehabilitation.

***For the 2/24 and 2/25 classes, please bring earmold impression material, otoscope, pen light, blocks, and earmold impression gun or syringe.
 
  
  
February 25th
-Preparing to use simulator for NCHALB exam, anatomy of the ear, earmold impression 
                        
practicum and acoustic options, principles of post fitting and rehabilitation, Sandlin Earmold
                                 Acoustics and technology.

   March 16th-Compression, Microphone, and digital

   March 17th-
Hearing Aid measurement; hearing aid amplification, real ear measurements

   April 13th-Fitting formulas and hearing aid selection.

   April 14th-
Laws and regulations           
   

**All classes will be held from 9am to 5pm.
